Church of God in Christ

The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States. The denomination reports having more than 12,000 churches and over 5 million members in the United States. The National Council of Churches ranks it as the fifth largest Christian denomination in the U.S. COGIC is a Pentecostal–Holiness Christian denomination with a predominantly African-American membership.

COGIC can be found in more than 100 nations with an international membership estimated between one and three million adherents in more than 13,000 churches, missions, and outreaches. Its combined worldwide membership is estimated to be between six and a half and eight million composing more than 25,000 congregations throughout the world. The current presiding bishop is Bishop Charles Edward Blake Sr., who is the senior pastor of West Angeles Church of God In Christ.
