Twelve Apostles to Sandy Bay Hike in Cape Town
This superb hike takes you along Table Mountain\'s famous Twelve Apostle Peaks, a comfortable, mostly gentle, flat walk following the upper reaches of the lower slopes of the mountain, with breathtaking views of Camps Bay\'s white sandy beaches and the Atlantic ocean\'s azure blue waters, merging with the sky\'s blue and the earth\'s curvature. After lunch, shuttle or bike (choice is yours) out to the picturesque seaside town of Llundudno for the afternoon\'s walk, following the wild coastal footpath to Oudeschip from Sandy Bay - with the peaks of the Twelve Apostles now behind your, covering your tracks and keeping vigil on your progress.

As you round the last bend of the upper trail (2 hours or so from the departure point), gently descent into Camps Bay where a sumptuous lunch awaits, either prepared as a picnic or at a seaside table (seasonal), the perfect reward and sustenance after an invigorating morning\'s activity.

With lunch done, shuttle or bike (choice is yours) out to the picturesque seaside village of Llundudno for the afternoon\'s beach and coastal walk section. This follows a wild meander along a coastal contour path, with the crashing waves of the atlantic, your constant companion, only a few feet away. The trail takes us to Oudeschip via the white sandy beaches of, appropriately named, Sandy Bay - with the peaks of the Twelve Apostles now towering in the back you, keeping vigil and witness to your progress.
At Oudeschip, the turning point, enjoy a cold beverage and a rest, taking in the sun and surf, while contemplating one of the Cape\'s most well-known shipwrecks. As the sun sinks lower towards the Western horizon, backtrack on your earlier footprints, only now the sun is a warm caress on your back, while it lights up the massive peaks of the Twelve Apostles, towering directly over you.

Experience up close two of Cape Town\'s iconic natural landmarks with this exceptional walk and hike: The magnificent Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic Seaboard\'s wild and unspoiled coast.
