8-Day Cape Town Budget Tour Including Robben Island, Cape Point and Table Mountain
Enjoy breathtaking scenic routes as you explore the beauty of the Western Cape. Learn the history of Robben Island, view the splendor of Cape Town from the top of Table Mountain, the magnificence of Cape Point, the gorgeous penguins at Boulder\'s Beach and the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V & A Waterfront where you will experience freshwater, coastal and marine environments.

Day 1: Your tour guide will take you on a coastal boardwalk meandering westwards. This route leads you through the neighboring village of St. James where you can cool off in the tidal pool.

Day 2: Take a trip with the cable car up Table Mountain. The trip to the top is an outing in itself, as you are safely and gently transported from the lower cable station to the top of the mountain and visa versa. The journey takes a little more than 5 minutes and the high tech rotating cable car offers the best views of the city.

Day 3: You will spend the day at Cape Point. Named the ?Cape of Storms? by Bartolomeu Dias in 1488; the ?Point? was treated with respect by sailors for centuries. By day, it was a navigational landmark and by night, and in fog, it was a menace beset by violent storms and dangerous rocks that over the centuries littered shipwrecks around the coastline.

Day 4: You will be taken on a tour of Robben Island, begin at the V & A Waterfront where a ferry takes you to the island. A bus takes you to the lime quarry where Mr. Mandela and his fellow prisoners did hard labor. Additional stopovers include the Kramat (shrine) of Tuan Guru (a Muslim leader), the Lepers? Graveyard and the house where Robert Sobukwe lived in solitary confinement for nine years.

Day 5: The tour takes you to Boulder?s Beach, with its wind sheltered bays and safe sandy shores, is home to a breeding colony of over 2000 endangered African Penguins. Freely explore the granite boulders, small rock pools and little bays in the close proximity of the flightless little swimming birds. To view the African Penguins and their nesting and breeding sites, a superb walkway has been established that takes the visitor on an intimate tour of the area these endangered birds call home.

Day 6: The day is spent visiting Groot Constantia which is the largest estate in Constantia and consists of many of Van der Stel?s original buildings, including the famous manor house. It?s known as ?the birthplace of South African wine?. There are cellar tours and wine tastings open to the general public.

Day 7: Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V & A Waterfront where you will experience freshwater, coastal and marine environments. One of the aquarium?s biggest draw-cards, the enchanting underwater forest is home to shoals of silver fishes shimmering through the sunlight.

Day 8: Enjoy a full breakfast before we heading off on a walk around the city of Cape Town. You will be exposed to gardens, pedestrian plazas, memorials, public art, museums, architecture, galleries, traders, shops, restaurants, hotels and other people.

After an enjoyable day, you will be transported to Cape Town International Airport for your journey back home.
