Capri to Amalfi Coast Private Boat Excursion
Enjoy a day filled with breathtaking views and relaxation by cruising from the Island of Capri along Italy\'s Amalfi Coast. This jagged coastline is unlike any other, and the best way to view it is from the sea. Stop to swim in various inlets and lagoons, and enjoy the company of a local captain who will show you the can\'t miss sights of the area.

Experience an unforgettable adventure through the Neapolitan Riviera, with stops to swim through gorgeous bays and lagoons. While Capri is typically crowded on the island itself, its true beauties are the many grottos that can be seen by boat around the island. Cruise along to the Blue Grotto, a small opening in the rock just large enough for a row-boat to enter. This grotto is famous for its electric blue waters glimmering off the water and cave walls. Depending on the sea conditions, the grotto may be closed, and there is also a charge of 13 euros to enter.

Other notable grottos that are worth a look are the Green and White Grottos. The Green Grotto is a sea-cave with a natural arch that opens into a bay. The White Grotto is a cave etched up further on a cliff with a naturally made rock formation of the Virgin Mary. Another highlight of Capri are the Faraglioni Rock Formations, which are a landmark of the island. These three massive rocks are each about 100 meters high and can even be seen from far away on the Amalfi Coast. Cross the Bay of Naples and into the Gulf of Salerno where you will cruise past Nerano, a small fishing village which features several beachside restaurants that are highly encouraged to stop at for lunch.

One of the more notable sights that this excursion features are Li Galli Islands, famed as Homer’s location of the Sirens that tempted Ulysses in \'The Odyssey.\' Feel free to stop for a swim here if you wish. The islands are located just off the coast of Positano, a village sprawled vertically up a vast landscape. The view of Positano from the sea is perhaps one of the most famous photos in all of Italy. John Steinbeck described the village best: \"Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn\'t quite real when you are there and becomes longingly real after you have gone\". Stop in this colorful village if you would like for some shopping and exploring while the captain waits before taking you back to Capri. Please note that if you would like to end the excursion in Positano rather than returning to Capri, that is also an option.
