2-Day Fraser Island 4WD Tag-Along Tour from Hervey Bay
Discover Fraser Island on a 2-day tour that gives you time to explore its natural treasures. You might even get the chance to participate in an exhilarating tag-along where you get behind the wheel of your own 4WD vehicle! Expect to travel by comfortable 4WD vehicle to swimming spots at Lake McKenzie, Champagne Pools, Eli Creek, and Lake Wabby. For photo ops, stop at the Maheno shipwreck, the Pinnacles, Indian Head, and Seventy-Five Mile Beach. As the day wanes, head to a well-equipped campground for an overnight stay that includes a barbecue cookout. See and learn more with your expert guide on this small-group tour limited to 15 people.

With more than 100 freshwater lakes, long stretches of sandy beach, huge sand dunes, and lush rainforest, it\'s easy to understand why Fraser Island was originally named K?Gari, or paradise, by the local Aborigines. Sand purled off the mainland of Australia for over a millennia, creating what is today the world\'s largest sand island. Behold its natural wonders as your expert guide shows you around on this 2-day excursion.

Experience the fun of piloting a 4WD vehicle in the sand as your small group travels in two 4WD vehicles on what is known as a \"tag-along.\" Your professional guide drives one, and you and your group members take turns driving the other as you follow your guide for a fun (and bumpy!) ride across the terrain. (Please note: In order to operate two vehicles on this excursion, there must be a minimum of eight people in the group.)

You\'ll stay overnight in a well-equipped cabin at the Fraser Island Retreat in the township of Happy Valley and enjoy dinner at the Fraser Island Retreat\'s restaurant.

Two lunches, one dinner and one breakfast are included, as well as all transportation and overnight accommodation. Be sure to pack light; there is limited space to carry gear on the vehicles. The guides supply coolers and ice and you\'re welcome to bring alcohol, but skip the glass bottles, which are prohibited on Fraser Island.
